CLARION, under this programme will be working towards developing the capacity of citizens to make informed political decisions. The advocacy component of this programme is designed to respond to the problem of exclusion in the constitutive side of Kenya's governance. It seeks to highlight the importance of active and popular citizen participation in determining who makes which rules, instead of them being limited to operating within rules made by an exclusive group.

Possible interventions in this thematic area include: design of a community political education programme and development of a core curriculum, training of political education trainers and community mobilisers, creative performances and radio shows on political education and new knowledge and skills workshops and seminars.

Strategic Goal:

To contribute to the attainment of informed citizen participation in governance and management of public affairs from design of policies to implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
