 | Kenya Human Rights Commission
KHRC basically deals with issues of reforms. Its objective aims at reducing
human rights violations, strengthening human rights movements and tracing
Kenya in a truly democratic trajectory. It researches on community needs,
builds capacity and advocates as well as lobbies to the relevant bodies
to have the issues addressed. The KHRC has achieved much in this area by
way of struggle and participating in the reform process, calling for free
and fair elections, urging the opposition to unite in the name of democracy.
In 2002, KHRC endorsed Mwai Kibaki and his party as the presidential candidate
and this gave fruit in that their idea and effort were adopted by the entire
citizenly and this helped oust the notorious KANU regime.

This is an organization dedicated to the rural and urban poor in Kenya
with whom the organization struggles for better living standards. It specializes
on land issues.

This is an organization created by statute, Cap 18 laws of Kenya. The
main objectives are to maintain and improve the standards of conduct and
learning of the legal profession in Kenya, protect and assist the public
in Kenya in all matters touching, ancillary or incidental to the law.

This is basically a children’s rights advocacy organization. It fosters
the rights of children and also brings out cases of children violence in
order that the stakeholders may take action.

Transparency International is a non governmental organization dedicated to increasing government accountability and curbing both international and national corruption.
